Educational Experiences

In 2004 I started the first 4 years of my professional life as an elementary teacher. I taught Kindergarten, Special Education, Gifted & Talented, and 3rd grade general education. I spent much of this time with leadership responsibilities such as participating on the curriculum team and trainers of trainers for the math and science departments. 

I spent the next 11 years working for a family owned business in San Antonio as internal accountant/comptroller. This role included HR responsibilities, Job auditing, Payroll, and monthly financial reporting. 

In 2019 I worked for a CPA Firm in San Antonio where I started working as a senior accountant on clients accounts. I then moved to an internal supervisor role that consisted of financial reporting for multiple entities. During this time I was involved with a program conversion and implementing new policies and procedures. 

In 2017 I became a certified nutritional coach. I have created a platform and method to helping people get healthy and make life lasting nutritional changes. In 2013 my husband opened a welding business in addition to his full time job. He is very talented in building anything from small gate entrances to large airplane hangers. My role in this business is on the business development and financial side.
